I initially joined up as a regular member with ConceptWorld a few months back because as a budding concept artist I was looking for a group to really get involved in and it certainly was the best concept art group I found on DA. Oh there are others out there, but none that are focused not only on showcasing some really awesome art , but also on being actively involved in developing the community.

Issue 2 - pdfThe group hosts a great bi-weekly concept design competitions with the winners potentially being featured in the actual Concepteez magazine itself. There is a neat Friday feature journal which showcases awesome concept art from across the interweb. There will also be a brand new speed paint event which I am going to be helping out on with a unique format that I'm really excited about and am keen to participate in myself!
Ultimately the aim is to provide inspiration and hopefully help its members grow and get better as artists.
I highly recommend having a browse through the galleries. There is a lot of supreme eye candy to feast your eyes on if you're into all things concept-y. If you happen be working on concepts that you would like to showcase and get some exposure you can become a member and submit them. The group has about 3,600 members and over 4,600 watchers! There is a relatively high standard of quality applied to all accepted submissions deviations but if you are just starting and think your work might not be up to scratch, that shouldn't stop you from submitting work and asking for feedback when being evaluated. It could be a great way to take stock and evaluate your advancement in skill every so often. (granted some of you may not be as much of a feedback junkie as I am
So come aboard, join in the fun, I know I'm excited to see where this train is going!
