With tangerine trees and marmalade skies

Speed Challenge this week was to
come up with a well composed, emotionally charged piece based on any line or verse from Lucy in the sky with diamonds by the Beatles.

Tried a different style. Lucy was going to be in here I swear, but I was having so much fun I didn't have enough time to put her in! And she was gonna be my emotional ace in the hole. ahh well. Hope the pretty picture suffices.

The texture is interesting. What did you do?

Thanks! I quite like the effect and I am definitely gonna do more in this style. I was just fiddling around with the brush settings on a spray paint-like brush and stumbled on a combination of settings that gave out a nice controllable flow. Then I just picked some nice colours, used masks and added some texture to the canvas.

quickly realised that I couldn't get defined shapes without them. If I was reincarnated I think I would love to be a graf artist. Spray-style painting is so much fun! Assuming the computer simulates the feel quite accurately of course.
